Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 April 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them on our websites — staging-foundation.supervetdoc.bg (donations platform) and staging-platform.supervetdoc.bg (booking system) — and how you can manage your preferences.

By using our Sites you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this Policy, unless you have configured your browser to reject them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit websites. They allow a site to recognise your device on subsequent visits and to remember certain settings or actions.

2. What types of cookies do we use?

We use the following categories of cookies on both our sites:

Cookie typePurposeExampleMandatory?
Strictly necessary (essential)Provide the core functionality of the site — navigation, access to restricted areas (profile, donation basket), appointment booking. Without them the site cannot work properly.Session ID, CSRF security token, cookie storing the selected language (Bulgarian/English).YES — you cannot refuse them.
Functional (preferences)Remember your choices (for example, which clinic you were viewing, search filters for veterinarians) in order to make your experience more convenient."Last searched location", "Show as list / map".No — you can block them, but you will lose some convenience.
Analytics / statistical (analytics)Collect anonymous information about how you use the site — which pages you visit, how long you stay, whether you receive errors. This helps us improve the performance of the platforms.Google Analytics (_ga, _gid), or Matomo, or built-in hosting analytics. No — they require your consent.
Marketing / advertising (marketing)We do NOT currently use these on the staging versions. If in future we launch targeted campaigns to raise donations or promote the platform, we will seek explicit consent. Not applicable. No — only with consent.

3. Third-party cookies

Some of the cookies on our sites are set by third parties — service providers:

ProviderPurposeDoes it affect anonymity?
Payment provider (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, Borica)To process donations — they set their own cookies for security and fraud prevention.Governed by their privacy policy.
Hosting / CDN (if used)For caching and fast content delivery.Usually anonymous.
Google / FacebookOnly if we integrate their buttons or pixels. Currently not integrated on the staging versions. Not applicable.

4. How long are cookies stored?

  • Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close the browser (e.g. the cookie for a logged-in user).
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period (from a few hours up to 2 years), until they are deleted or expire (e.g. analytics cookies).

5. How do you manage or delete cookies?

You can control and/or delete cookies at any time by the following means:

  • Through your browser settings: most browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) allow you to block all cookies or only third-party cookies.
  • Through our consent banner: on your first visit to either of the two sites, you will see a banner asking for your consent for optional cookies (analytics, functional). You can accept, reject or personalise your choice.

Important: if you delete or block strictly necessary cookies, the Sites may not function correctly — you will not be able to make donations, book appointments or log into your profile.

6. Changes to the Cookie Policy

The Foundation may update this Policy from time to time, for example when introducing new analytics tools. The current version is always available at /legal/cookies on both sites. In the event of material changes we will request renewed consent where required.
